What is Te Wānanga Ihorangi?
Te Wānanga Ihorangi is a whakapono-based Māori language school in Henderson, Waitākere. Our full immersion language programmes are dedicated to the preservation and revitalisation of te reo Māori in Aotearoa.
What Programmes Are Available?
Te Wānanga Ihorangi offers accredited NZQA programmes, including Level 1–4 night classes and full-time Levels 5, 6, and 7 programmes, designed to support you to express yourself confidently in te reo Māori. Each week is packed with a variety of classes, individual and group work, kapa haka, karakia, and occasional off-campus haerenga.

How Does the Enrolment Process Work?
Once you submit your Expression of Interest, our Admissions team will review your information and be in touch within 10 working days to let you know the next steps. Enrolments are assessed as they are received, and places are limited.
